Alpaca Open Day – Monday, August 27th

The August Bank Holiday Monday can be an amazing summer day with wonderful sunshine, or…

But whatever the weather, there will be plenty of signs of new life around the valley to be appreciated on the farm walk. And most of the cria (alpaca babies) will have arrived…

Our herd love the stimulation of visitors and don’t miss much, with their inquisitive nature and great long-range vision. They don’t always cooperate for selfies but there is a good chance of good pictures when we feed them at the end of the walk.

The Long Room offers a welcome and homemade cake with fresh Coaltown Coffee. Plus plenty of other alpaca related things to do and see.

Entrance is free but we never turn away donations towards refreshments.

Any time from 11 am to 3 pm, no need to book. But please leave your lovely dogs at home.

First Fridays @ The Waterside

We are resuming our monthly open house and valley for those who would appreciate some time and space to think, talk and create (as well as eat). This particularly appeals to people who are doing creative or disruptive work and who need some time out to make sense of where you are and how to move forward.

Drop in anytime between 12 noon and 4 pm. The coffee pot is always on, there are plates of homemade cake, and for those who are around at lunchtime, we sit together for a simple meal. Bring yourselves, your questions and your curiosity… and suitable footwear if you want to walk around the lake and in the valley.
